Looking for your next creative challenge?

Motion Designer / Editor

Enjoy bringing stories to life through the power of punchy animation or sharp video editing? We’re looking for someone that can combine creativity with all things motion to join our video team.

About the role

Whether you consider yourself a videographer, motion graphic designer, animator or something in between, you’ll know how to effectively pace a video to hook the audience and tell our clients stories in an interesting way.

Ideally you’ll be happy using a Mac and know the Adobe Creative Suite like the back of your hand, with a focus on Premiere and After Effects (though other editing suites are fine too). Experience behind the camera is handy too, and we’ve got lots of toys for you play with if that is an area you want to develop in.

Working at Kensa:

Whether it’s filming on location around the country (and beyond) or creating an explainer animation from the comfort of our desks, no two days are the same. We approach each video project with a “what is possible” mindset and are always open to new ideas and techniques; you’ll be able to get involved in the entire creative process, from scripting and storyboarding to producing and editing video content.

We run an informal, flexible working environment where you’ll have the ability to develop your strengths, learn new skills and really make the role your own. We’ll supply the latest software, a nice shiny Mac and all the coffee you can drink, plus the occasional pizza.

Previous experience:

All experience levels considered for variety of positions from Junior – Senior.

You’ll need to have:

  • A showreel to knock our socks off
  • An eye for composing the perfect shot
  • An ear for sourcing quality music
  • Impeccable timing
  • Calm nerves under pressure
  • The ability to play nicely with others
  • Knowledge of cameras and production equipment is a bonus
  • A pair of slippers

You’ll get:

A competitive salary, a growing library of production equipment to play with, a buttload of benefits and a genuinely nice environment to work in.

Working hours:

9-5 Monday to Friday.
(We actually mean that too, we respect your time and don’t believe in pressured overtime).

Location:

Our purpose built office in Telford, Shropshire. Easy access from the motorway and plenty of free parking!

The role is primarily office-based, although flexible working options may be considered based on individual circumstances.

About the role

You’ll be involved in all stages of delivering online-oriented projects in collaboration with the other creatives in our team. The balance between design / development will be dependant on your individual skillset and personal strengths, with the opportunity to make the role your own and develop in either direction.

Ultimately whether its a responsive WordPress theme, an email marketing template or even a lowly email signature, you’ll know how to coerce code into doing your bidding. It’s a bonus if you have experience with eCommerce, DNS management or app development.
