Kensa does Sports Day
Following a packed summer, the team took a day out to blow off some steam and enjoy the last of the sunshine.
What better way of encouraging immense competitiveness wholesome team building than a good old-fashioned sports day, complete with orange segments?
An exciting, yet slightly terrifying, array of activities awaited us at Shrewsbury Sports Village, from Donkey Derby to the Sack Race. What started out as a bit of lighthearted fun soon became the lesser-known Shrewsbury Olympics – a smaller, but no less competitive, cousin of Paris 2024.
Let’s just say we remember this type of thing being much easier when we were children!
The ultimate prize for our randomly assigned teams was a coveted Kensa medal. Fierce battles were fought, some were won and others lost – along with our dignity. In the end, the ultimate winners were the Orange Team, made up of Luke, Jess, Kat, David and Rich. Congrats!
“Winning the Kensa Sports Day is the highlight of 2024 so far. I’d like to thank all of my friends and colleagues – aside from everybody on opposing teams.” – Jess Morris, Creative Director
…after all that hard work we thought we deserved a beer so headed off to the pub.
With our wide range of in-house skills encompassing web development, graphic design and branding, live action video, CGI and marketing strategy, teamwork is essential to us at Kensa. Away days like this are just one way that we foster a culture of teamwork to get the best out of each member of our team.
