Creating a brand identity and ecommerce website for a specialist online spy equipment store.
We worked closely with the Spy Supermarket team to develop a visually distintive brand identity for their new venture – an online spy store offering solutions tailored for the infidelity market.
With such a great name and a largely unexplored niche target audience this project had great potential from the very beginning. The final brand identity takes the name quite literally to produce a fun and recognisable mascot – a stereotypical ‘spy’ with a shopping cart.

We then applied the brand identity across a wide range of items, from the matching letterhead, business card and compliments slip of the corporate identity through to note pads, stickers, pens mousemats and t-shirts.
As part of the launch campaign we designed a series of promotional items including magnetic car door advertisements, glossy marketing fliers featuring key products and window decals.
Creating this brand universe really helped establish a professional, friendly and trust worthy image for the company – something which is often lacking in the spy equipment industry. This was especially important for a site positioning itself as a helpful resource for people who may be going through an extremely stressful period of their lives.
The main customer facing aspect of this project was an ecommerce website featuring a wide range of covert surveillance and infidelity testing products. The site features the same strong brand identity within a clean, user friendly layout and was divided into core sections based on product function / application with each area being customised using unique header images, icons and text to support these key themes.
“allowing the client to easily update the website with full control of images, copy, layout and products”
We developed this site using the open source Joomla! content management system, allowing the client to easily update the website and have full control of images, copy, layout and products used throughout the site. We also provided training for this sytem and a custom user guide to help with future updates.
The website was built from the ground up to be search engine friendly with a real focus on site structure, keywords and meta data, and it is supported by an extensive range of relevant articles, a blog system and a series of targeted micro-sites.
